Joseph V. Diestel
Mr. Diestel, a San Francisco native, graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Mathematics and Statistics. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2014 with an emphasis in litigation.
Prior to law school, Mr. Diestel was a construction project manager and estimator for an electrical contractor in San Francisco. He achieved an accreditation for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design for New Construction and Major Renovations, LEED NC. Projects he managed include renovations of Terminal 2 at San Francisco International Airport, UCSF Mount Zion Hospital and various tenant improvement projects throughout downtown San Francisco.
During law school, Mr. Diestel was selected to Golden Gate’s Honors Lawyering Program and Moot Court Board. He earned CALI Awards for Academic Excellence in Legal Writing and Research and Appellate Advocacy. Mr. Diestel interned for the San Francisco Office of the City Attorney, Construction Litigation and Public Contracting Department and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Diane Ritchie of Santa Clara Superior Court. During his third year and post bar, he worked for a San Francisco law firm whose areas of practice focused on civil litigation, corporate law and estate planning.
Mr. Diestel was admitted to the State Bar of California and joined the Bledsoe Law Firm in 2015.
