Jeffrey T. Hughes
Jeff was admitted to the California State Bar in December 2019 and joined Bledsoe in February 2020. Prior to joining Bledsoe, he worked as a Law Clerk at the largest immigration firm in the world. Jeff graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and a minor in Portuguese, after which he worked as a legal secretary and office manager in a Family Law firm in Santa Barbara. He left his role in Santa Barbara to attend the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree.
During law school, Jeff focused primarily on intellectual property law, with internships at Duane Morris, Yahoo!, and the USF School of Law Internet and Intellectual Property Law Clinic. Jeff was a Development Director on the Moot Court Board and participated in the International Trademark Association’s Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Competition, winning both the regional and national competition. He was also a member of the Student Bar Association and the Chair of the Mentor-Mentee Program Committee.
Born and raised in the Sierra Nevada, Jeff loves being outdoors, and is an avid skier and two-time member of the Far West Junior Olympic team. He also enjoys cycling, mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing. After high school, he spent a year living in Brazil, where he learned to speak Portuguese.
