Ryan P. Knutson
Mr. Knutson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History with minors in Spanish and Latin American Studies cum laude from Sonoma State University in 2012. He attended law school at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, graduating in December 2015 with a Juris Doctorate. During law school, Mr. Knutson concentrated his studies in public interest law and government policy, working in prosecutors’ offices and private immigration law firms.
Mr. Knutson was admitted to the California State Bar in May 2016. After the bar exam, he served as a law clerk to Congressman John Garamendi (D-Fairfield, CA). In 2016, he joined La Raza Centro Legal, a non-profit community law firm serving the Latino and low-income communities of San Francisco as Staff Attorney and Program Coordinator for the Legal Counsel for the Elderly program. In that capacity, Mr. Knutson represented clients in the areas of housing discrimination and eviction, Social Security Disability and SSI, consumer protection and fair credit/ debt, and wills/trusts and estates
