Decedent passed away as a result of his ingestion of a fentanyl-laced Percocet while a student at Stanford University. Decedent’s parents filed suit against the University, Decedent’s fraternity and several individuals, including our client, whom the family accused of aiding and abetting the purchase, distribution and furnishing of the controlled substance.
In support of summary judgment, Bledsoe argued Decedent alone had purchased the drug and our client had no role in the purchase or distribution of the drug. Nor was our client under an obligation to advise the university or Decedent’s parents of his drug use. The court agreed and granted defendant summary judgment on all causes of action.
