James M. Treppa

Mr. Treppa, the firm’s Managing Partner since 2000, was admitted to the California State Bar in 1992 after receiving his Juris Doctorate degree from Golden Gate University with Highest Honors that year. Mr. Treppa joined Bledsoe in January 1993 and became partner in 1998. Since joining the firm he has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict. He has also appeared before the California Courts of Appeal and handled hundreds of mediations and arbitrations. Prior to receiving his J.D. degree, Mr. Treppa attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics in 1989.

Mr. Treppa currently practices in the areas of landlord-tenant litigation, real estate and construction litigation, commercial and residential Homeowner Association consulting and litigation, personal injury and premises liability, products liability, neighbor disputes, commercial transportation litigation, business and employment litigation in state and federal court. Mr. Treppa is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada where he recently completed a four-year term on the Board of Directors, the Defense Research Institute, and the San Francisco and Marin County Bar Associations. He has authored a number of articles and has presented a number of lectures and seminars on a variety of legal issues.
