Linda N. Hwee

Ms. Hwee is a seasoned litigator who works diligently on behalf of each of her clients. She has extensive experience in managing all phases of civil litigation, from pre-litigation claims through trial. Her diverse practice includes defending clients in state and federal court in professional liability, products liability, habitability matters, premises liability, construction defect, catastrophic vehicular accidents, and class action data suits.

Ms. Hwee has obtained successful results for her clients at all stages of civil litigation, including mediations, motions, and discovery conferences. She enjoys the challenges of conducting expert depositions as much as she enjoys negotiating at mediations or settlement conferences.  She takes immense satisfaction in developing a rapport with her clients, as well as the various parties involved in litigation.

Ms. Hwee earned her J.D. from University of California College of Law, San Francisco (formerly U.C. Hastings College of the Law), and her B.A. in Political Science and East Asian Studies from Yale University. While a law student, Linda served as an executive editor of the U.C. Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly. She also served as the president of the Hastings Public Interest Law Foundation. She has been committed to social justice issues since high school and continues to advocate for under-served communities. While working in private practice, she also volunteers her time to serve as pro bono counsel with the Justice and Diversity Center. For her volunteer work in 2022, she was the recipient of the “Outstanding Volunteers in Public Service Award.”  In addition, for several years, Linda has served as an attorney scorer for the Contra Costa County High School Mock Trial Competition.

When Ms. Hwee is away from the office, she enjoys traveling domestically and internationally with her family and exploring cultures through their distinct history and cuisine. She has explored over 25 states and three continents covering over 15 countries. She is an avid runner having completed two marathons, 5 half marathons and numerous 5 and 10ks.
