

Richard S. Diestel
A partner since 1988, Mr. Diestel earned his J.D. degree at Hastings College of the Law and is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He regularly appears in all the courts in the State of California.
Mr. Diestel’s practice includes complex personal injury and business litigation, including products liability, construction law, unfair competition, employment litigation, and environmental torts. He has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has litigated hundreds of cases to successful resolution. A strong proponent of ADR, Mr. Diestel has over 20 years of service as an arbitrator with the California Superior Court. He also has testified as an expert witness on handling third-party litigation.
Mr. Diestel is a charter member of American Inn of Court, a national organization that promotes legal excellence, civility, professionalism, and ethics. Mr. Diestel is A-V rated and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the field of personal injury defense. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and lectures on civil litigation.
